Ain't nothing better than SASS & CLASS

Hope you are all battling through the January blues, have finished off the last of your Christmas chocolate, and have braved the cold in order to treat yourselves to the last of the sales. We've came to an agreement that the new year will start on the 1st of February this year - cos why feel bad for eating your stocking goodies?!

Before we enjoyed some scrumptious afternoon tea, we pulled out the most staple pieces from our wardrobes to create a smart/chic look. On a daily basis we always try our best to look as 'sassy & classy' as possible (with the exception of hangover days of course), so as you can imagine picking out these looks took us in total around 20 seconds.

Firstly, I (Melisa) chose to have my sensible weather-appropriate brain on and opted for this adorable taupe polo neck from River Island. The neck on this is massive and extremely toasty which is necessary in order to keep warm on these cold January days - Brrrr!! Affordable fashion is what we love, so I popped on my new tailored dungarees from Primark to build this look. I then added my stunning new open-toe shoe boots that I found in the ASOS sale. I totally fell in love with the gold block heel, adding a little funkiness to any basic outfit.

I (Amy) was feeling inspired by Clueless (DUH) when I chose this perfect little pleated skirt from Zara, which is so versatile no matter what the season. Bearing in mind the cold January days, I layered a brown polo neck jumper and black suede/leather waist coat. After picking this outfit I felt a little bare in the legs, so could not leave the house without adding my new babies (caged heels) from Peace and Love and Missguided.

We love that there are so many textures, fabrics and patterns within our outfits but they still balance a smart chic look. And what better way to complete this style than with some killer sunnies?!

We hope that you have been inspired by these looks, and try to keep semi sensible in this FREEZING weather.

Speak soon!!

Winter Sun & Pleat Fun

After being snowed in over the weekend and spending two full days in our cosy PJ's, we were so glad to see the sun finally make an appearance for a couple of hours.  Whilst the slush slowly melted away, we grabbed our fave sunnies along with our latest knits from Missguided and took a few snaps before heading out for a cute wee double date. Lets start with Amy...

When browsing through Missguided's 'New In' section I came across this funky asymmetric white jumper which I thought would look cool paired with both skirts and jeans.  For a flirty, fun look (date appropriate) I chose to pair it with my favourite pleated faux leather skirt which I picked up on the high street a couple of months back in Topshop.  Lastly, I teamed the full outfit together with my new perspex patent booties from Public Desire, I just can't get enough of their new collection just now.  These boots are Dior dupes for a fraction of the price - what more can a gal want?! Making the most of the little sun we get, I wiped the dust off my Prada sunglasses and popped on a little black fedora, in an attempt to keep warm.

Whilst the sun was shining, I (Melisa) finally got the chance to wear this short sleeved turtle neck jumper from Missguided.  I love how this grey knit drapes when teamed with a black waist belt - looks so chic.  I purchased this white pleated tennis skirt from eBay last week which was a complete style steal for £6!  I know that this skirt will be so much fun to style throughout summer, but I loved how it looked when combined with my black over the knee boots.

After keeping the boyfriends waiting while we blogged (fashion comes first - right?!) we went for some well deserved lunch at The Anchor Line where we indulged in lots of Marilyn Monroes - which if you haven't tried, they are the most delightful cocktails!

Due to Amy's exams and lots of festive overtime we haven't been able to blog as often as we'd like, but now that that's all over with and we have some more free time, we will be aiming to post much more regularly, bringing you lots of fashion fun in the weeks to come!

Bye for now,

TBOB xoxo
