Snapbacks And Dungarees - Yes Please

On a Saturday afternoon there is only one thing to do - SHOOT, go for lunch and of course drink some fabulous cocktails! With the weather on our side, we set out to our new favourite location to snap our latest PLT purchases. Neither one of us thought that these outfits would be making an appearance anytime soon, but the sun has been our best friend recently and we ain't missing out on an opportunity to show off the pins! Pretty Little Thing is fast becoming our no.1 e-tailer with so many variations in style, catwalk trends and obviously the price point! It's so hard not to go a little shopping cart crazy when they offer such good discounts all the time! Anyways enough of the PLT ego boosting, it's about time I (Melisa) discussed what really matters here on our fashion blog - the outfits!

For my Spring/Summertime wardrobe, I'm aiming to build up a collection of versatile pieces which can be worn more than once and that are easy to style for multiple occasions. No doubt I'll end up going a tad mental when all the brighter coloured clothes start to arrive in the stores, but for now I'm at least trying to think sensibly. When I spotted this cute little t-shirt dress for a style steal at £15, I knew that it would be a stable piece for me throughout the warmer months.  Although I styled it with a pair of caged stilettos, I think it will also look fab when teamed with some gladiator sandals, a biker jacket, sunglasses and as commonly known in Glasgow a 'junky bun' - (messy bun).

Despite the fact that I've never really been a snapback kind of gal, I absolutely adore this faux leather black snapback. I think on the days when its not sunny enough to be socially accepted wearing sunglasses, I'll be fashioning this wee number instead. I think I will also be taking this on holiday with me (wherever that may be) to wear at the pool along with my bikini - protecting my bleached hair and looking fashionable at the same time...check!

Channelling her inner Kendall Jenner with the Calvin Klein sports bra, Amy opted for these white dungarees, which FYI I've been dreaming about ever since. The ripped detailing looks so edgy especially when teamed with these Rihanna inspired platform trainers which I will be 100% purchasing in another colour. This casual look just screams 90's and Amy looks so effortlessly slick workin' this look. I can imagine these dungarees looking so different when paired with heels and a striped shirt, a gorgeous, chic take on this stable piece which would be perfect for a Spring cocktail outing with the gals. PLT have a great selection of dungarees at the moment, available in several denims with lots of variation in length.

Thanks again for dropping by! This weekend I caught up on some much needed beauty sleep, so unfortunately it wasn't a very exciting one for me - sob! If your weekend was anything like mine then I pity you and feel your pain, but for everyone else who began theirs with the Friday feeling, then we hope you had a great time celebrating and that the Monday blues don't hit you too hard.

Much Love,

TBOB xoxo

Street Style Sistas

With the rare sun peeking out in Glasgow, we decided that there was no better day to channel a little street style.  Before bestie brunchin', we pulled together our new favourite Missguided numbers to take a few snaps.

With Spring officially arriving (although it's still far too chilly - brrrr), we knew that Missguided would have some great additions to their website, and they certainly de-livered! Seeing the fresh, bright colours in the ever so tempting 'new in' section inspired our pay-day shopping splurge.  I (Amy) spotted this fab white lace bodysuit which I could not scroll by until it was 'straight in my basket'. I loooove how you can style this piece from day to night, accessorised up or down. I decided to pair this with my new favourite ripped jeans to give it the ultimate street feel. To add a pop of colour I chose these classic red lace-ups which complimented my 'Russian Red' lipstick from MAC.

Melisa and I cannot go without a little coordination, so she decided to style this stunning mesh white jumpsuit, which looked amazing beside my bodysuit.  This is the ultimate 'cocktails in the sun' piece which I will definitely be stealing a few times throughout the summer.  We're obsessed at how versatile this jumpsuit is, you can style it so many different ways, from killer heels and statement clutches to sassy gladiators and summer shoppers.

Snake print is going to be a MASSIVE trend in Spring/Summer 16, and we could not be more excited about this. Melisa was working some sassy lace up 'barely there' heels for this look, and she couldn't shoot without grabbing the matching clutch bag - these two are a match made in fashion heaven! They worked so well together, giving a soft neutral feel with a lil' edgy touch.

Making the most of the sunshine in Scotland, we couldn't leave the house without these amazing sunnies. Missguided have a great range of shades right now, getting us seriously excited for summer! We can't get enough of these metal framed, mirrored beauts.

Even though it's still early, we hope we've tempted you to purchase some spring goodies with our street style look, and that you managed to catch a little bit of the sun too! Spring has certainly sprung at Missguided and we are so on board with it...

Speak soon,

TBOB xoxo
