Zara Haul

It has been the most beautiful week in Glasgow...we managed to capture our only few days of summer AND get a little burnt in the process. Knowing that it would be over in no time, we ventured out into the city centre and treated ourselves to some club sandwiches from Darcy's whilst we sat out in the middle of Buchanan Street appreciating the sun, and watching the world go by with a daiquiri in hand.

Peeking into Zara, we knew we couldn't resist. HAUL! If you've visited Zara in the past few weeks, you'll know exactly how we felt when we walked in - too many clothes, not enough hands. They have such an amazing collection right now, with beautiful white and blue linens perfect for those summer nights.

I (Amy) decided this sweet powder blue dress would be the perfect piece to conquer the Glasgow sun. I'm addicted to all things baby blue right now - my nails, car, handbags and LIFE - I just can't get enough. This is such a gorgeous style, and when the wind sweeps in for that Marilyn Monroe moment, the dress has little shorts underneath to save you from 'flashin yer washin'. As we all know, the Scottish sun doesn't stay around for very long, so I decided to pair the dress with my favourite taupe OTKs. These booties have came in so much handier than I imagined and I've managed to style them through every season - WINNER! Accessorising it up, I wore my versatile Michael Kors handbag and LA MODA mirrored sunnies.

Melisa, as always coordinating with me, decided to purchase the most adorable lil' white dress with a peplum-like bottom. This will definitely be a staple piece in her wardrobe this season, and will be perfect for when she jets off to Dubai this summer. Rocking the air hostess - come pin-up girl vibes, she styled the dress with a blue and white striped bandana style scarf and super chic/statement River Island sunnies. I love the fact that she could wear this scarf again as a bandana for a whole new look, it would be perfect for festivals! Sexy stilettos are a must when wearing a mini dress (especially for us and our short legs) and so, Melisa popped on her favourite snake print lace ups from the one and only Misguided.

With our new summery looks, full stomachs and Glasgow tan, we headed off to Melle Cloche in Albion Street and had such a fun night playing bride to be. Stay tuned to see what we got up to in their boutique...

Have you treated yourself to something from Zara's new collection?

Ultimo's Lingerie Styling Challenge

Last week, Ultimo invited us along to House of Fraser Glasgow to take part in their lingerie styling challenge. Amazing - we know! We were greeted with a lovely glass of prosecco (can never say no) and Ultimo's lovely PR team who talked us through their new - and very sexy - SS16 collection. It's clear to see that Ultimo have been working around the clock tirelessly to create gorgeous lingerie for all body types.

Laid out in the timeless boardroom of House of Fraser were all of Ultimo's fresh new bralettes, in which we had to choose our favourites (a tough decision indeed!) and fashion it with products from the styling rail chosen by the Ultimo gals. Featured on the rail were some stunning pieces from Biba, Whistles and Pied a Terre - to name a few. After mingling away with fellow bloggers and making the most of the prosecco, we headed off to the changing rooms for our usual movie montage!

I (Amy) chose to style Ultimo's 'Pixie' bralette. After spotting it on Henry Holland's catwalk at LFW, I knew I had to try it! I will definitely be treating myself to this when it launches. Melisa opted for the colour-pop 'Erica' bralette in red, a stylish and strikingly versatile piece which has been spotted on some of the hottest celebrities including Pixie Lott. Finding the perfect 'underwear as outerwear' looks, we headed back to the boardroom where we were greeted by the lovely photographers Liam Bradley and Bruce Mackenzie who then shot our completed styles.

Selfie time...

After styling the bralettes, we decided to check out the fresh SS16 collection. I selected 'Maddie' for this look as I was completely obsessed with the detachable gold chain. I have never seen anything like this on lingerie before and thought it looked so fabulous. Melisa decided to style the gorgeous 'Oceana' as the Ultimo girls informed us that each of the beautiful printed flowers differ, making every set unique. This was such a lovely touch!

After a fabulous night of styling, posing and gabbing, we were given some fabulous goodie bags which included Ultimo's stylish new crop top, delicate wash and lots of Lancome treats.

Thank you to Ultimo for a very fun and interactive night not to be forgotten! #IHeartUltimo

All Ultimo products can be found at or within their House of Fraser and Debenhams concession stores throughout the UK.

How would you style your underwear as outerwear?

Lots of love,

Saint Genevieve

This month, we were lucky enough to attend and celebrate the launch of Saint Genevieve - a stunning women's clothing boutique located in the heart of Glasgow's east end. A night filled with champagne, canopies and clothing - what more could you ask for?!

Created by a gorgeous/inspirational young lady called Hannah and her lovely Auntie Joyce, Saint Genevieve consists of some of the most prettiest independent brands such as Sister Jane, Dancing Leopard and FRNCH. With striking prints and such cool interior, this beaut little store is every bloggers dream!

Melisa and I (Amy) couldn't decide what styles to try first, so to solve the stress - MOVIE MONTAGE! We picked some of our favourite pieces and we were soon off to the changing room to play dress up! I couldn't get enough of this gorgeous rose silk Sister Jane bomber, such an edgy yet sleek summer style.  I paired this with FRNCH's oversized denim shirt and my favourite Stuart Weitzman 'Highland' boots. Melisa also rocked this sassy bomber with the coolest little metallic green shorts and killer heels.

Today was a very exciting day for me as I have booked a little last minute trip to Marbella (15 sleeps EEK!) and all of these bold prints and colours will definitely be on my suitcase wish list! Some of the bright shift dresses would look absolutely perfect over a bikini at Ocean Club.

After a fabulous night mingling with everyone at Saint Genevieve, of course, we had to take a few snaps of our outfits... It was a lovely summers night, although we all know Glasgow has that bitter nip at all times, so I decided to wear my new oversized jumper from Missguided, which looked so chic and ensured that I was the comfiest gal in all the land. My OTK boots are still so spring appropriate as they are such a light neutral colour, so I decided to slip on these booties before dashing out the door and finished the look off with my rose gold sunnies from La Moda.

Melisa, as always, coordinated perfectly with me in grey and blush tones. We are all about affordable fashion, and when we seen this fab fedora and grey top in Primark, she of course couldn't resist! Melisa styled them up with her one and only Jamie jeans from Topshop and must-have Michael Kors tote.

Too often we settle for fast-fashion brands because we are lazy and they are so accessible. But Saint Genevieve offers something completely different, pieces which are not the norm but instead are individual and unique. For a girl there's nothing more embarrassing than showing up somewhere and someone is wearing the same outfit as you. We couldn't recommend Saint Genevieve any more! If your wardrobe isn't popping with colours and fantastic prints then be sure to stop by this quaint little store at 354 Duke Street, Glasgow and Hannah will sort you out!

We hope you all have a fabulous week and we shall be back shortly with some new summer looks!
