Twinning In Pink

It's a twin thing...

On Saturday we again reunited after Melisa's week in the sunshine, and headed off to Quiz Clothing's #GirlsOfSummer party in their new St Enoch's Centre store.

As always, coordination is key for us, but this time we may have taken matchy matchy to a whole new level... We couldn't stop ourselves from picking up these cute little sporty crops from Zara, they were down to £3.99 in their sale so how could we say no?! I must add that their sale is amazing right now with basically every item in store discounted, we also picked these pink trousers up for £17.99 - love a bargain. While Melisa killed it in these fun flares, I decided to give a cool contrast to the pink crop and styled it up with these leather culottes that I picked up in the Forever 21 closing down sale.

Doing a little bit of online retail therapy, I treated myself to these amazing flatform sandals from Lamoda. They are the most comfortable shoes, and I know I'll wear them to death this summer (guilty already...)! Melisa's shoe game was also strong styling these hot tan mules from the trusty Primark.

Before a fun shoot and shopping trip, we visited the Quiz gals in their new St Enoch Centre store, and we must say the shop was truly stunning. It's the first of its kind, and the interior was on point! Chandelier dreaming...Whilst having a sneaky cupcake or two, we played dress up in their new summer collection - and felt like absolute princesses! From their dreamy Santorini styles to race day glam, Quiz have got covered this summer.

As Melisa and I are heading off to a wedding next weekend, we managed to pick up the perfect outfits which as always coordinate, and are perfect for the summer season! Stay tuned next week to see these looks...

What summer style are you slayin'?

Lots of love,

TBOB xoxo

Festival Fashion & Fake Tan Fun

This year has completely flown by, and festival season has popped up out of no where! Whether it's T in the Park or Glastonbury, festival style is crucial. Yesterday, we were invited to explore Eden Festival! As Melisa is currently sunning it up in Turkey (JELLLLLL), I decided to represent half of TBOB and hop on a road trip. In all honesty, I had never heard of Eden Festival before we were invited, but did a bit of typical googling to find out a little more and off I went.

In terms of music taste, I am the most varied person on earth - from Spotify's trusty #ThrowBackThursday playlist, to Beyonce and Bob Marley - so I was totally open to something a little different at Eden. I dedicated Friday night to getting #FestiGlam with Fake Bake. We were luckily given their full Beyond Bronze range to try - as they are taking over festival season this summer! I decided to bronze it up with their Self-Tan Spritzer, which for such an affordable price has such an amazing quality of product. And not to mention that all of their packaging is pink - LOVE! Waking up like a glowing goddess yesterday morning, I decided to pack my instant shimmer in a medium shade, so that I could do any topping up at the festival if I needed to, and obviously because you can't go wrong with a little shimmer at a festival...

Since metallic is totally back, I decided to style up my knitted maxi dress knowing this would take me from day to night. I actually bought this piece to wear at a pool party in Marbella and ended up not wearing it, so I knew it would be perfect to pull out for some festi-stylin'! You may have taken the hint that I'm a little crazy for 'underwear as outerwear', so instead of putting on a typical necklace, I decided to show a little lace in this stunning Ultimo bra.

Adding a lil extra touch of glam, I paired this look with my staple black fedora, black studded booties and Michael Kors bag which I can't get enough of right now - the colour goes perfectly with everything in my wardrobe! Confession - I couldn't find a tight pair of black shorts to wear under this dress so I decided to pop on my Nike Pro gym shorts - embarrassing I know, but we all go to some crazy lengths to get those outfits on point...

Finally arriving at Eden, I was invited into the press area where I was told about all the history, and activities that are taking place at Eden. I was blown away by the amount of events - from meditation to arts and crafts to techno tents. Mental, I know! I discovered the cutest little drive-in movie area, where vintage cars parked up to watch movies as the sun sets, adorable.

There was such a chilled atmosphere across the full festival, with some absolutely beautiful grounds, decor, and not to mention food! I tried my first ever Chipstick and it tasted as good as it looks.

Eden had some serious hippie vibes, with lots of wacky fluorescent and floral prints. I may have been slightly on the glam side for the event, but that's what I love so who's caring!

Are you heading to any festivals?

Lots of love,

Amy xoxo

PS - excuse the 'hands up in the air' pose, I was way too embarrassed to strike the usual blog poses in front of drunk hippies...

Go To Bahamas And Forget The Dramas

'R E U N I T E D and it feels so good' - after two very lonnnnnng weeks apart myself and Amy eventually got together to shoot some of our new summer purchases and have a long awaited catch up before I jet off to Turkey tomorrow for a week of relaxation. Fair to say this past month has been incredibly stressful for the both of us - well saying that Amy partied in Marbella whilst I was stuck at home - sob!! But thankfully it's my turn tomorrow to fly back to my homeland (jokes) and soak up the sun for a week and 'forget the dramas'.

I'm loving how this oversized T looks tied up and paired with this leather high-waited skirt which I picked up for just £4 in the Forever 21 closing down sale - what a steal! Although, with temperatures reaching up to 28 degrees here in Glasgow these past couple of weeks, this get up is definitely only suitable for evening drinks as it is H O T!! Finishing the look off I stole Amy's beloved Prada sunnies and revamped my trusty Misguided stilettos by tying them all the way up my legs for a sexy new vibe! Being short it's import to always lengthen the legs, so the split detailing on my midi skirt works perfectly with these delicate snakeskin lace ups.

When styling jeans/trousers in the summertime we think it is always important to show a bit of upper body cleavage! Amy's black cut-out body from Misguided works so perfectly with these bright blue beaut jeans from Zara. Summer is always about showing some skin but it's all about balance. The silhouette of this body screams glam-sophistication and we adore how edgy this look turned out when paired with these black aviators, double buckle belt and barely there heels.

We literally had so much fun shooting this blog and it felt so fab to be out doing our thang again! Once I'm home from Turkey we shall get straight back into our blogging routine and get lots of new bits and bobs on the blog! Ps excuse my roots in the shoot, turkey was literally around the corner so I was prolonging as long as possible aha! As always thanks so much for dropping by!

Be back soon mwah!!

One Blonde Goes To Marbella

Last week, I (Amy) had the pleasure of jetting off to Marbella to celebrate the end of my exams. After three years of hard work and stressful nights, I am finally finished university and will be graduating in three weeks time with a BA in Fashion Business - eeeeek!

I thought there was no better way to spend my last week of freedom than soaking up the sun in Puerto Banus.  I stayed in the Bluebay Banus, and for the affordable price that I paid, it was perfect. This was the cheapest hotel that I found that was walkable to the port, although it felt so luxurious with some beautiful grounds, and a two minute walk to the beach - always handy!

The weather couldn't have been more perfect either. Ranging from 25-32 degrees Celsius, I spent five days sunbathing, catching every last ray.

On my first day, I wandered down to the port and WOW! The amount of supercars and gorgeous yachts there was unbelievable - serious goals! I had some well deserved lunch and possibly the worlds biggest daquiri while watching the world go by. I couldn't tell you how many strawberry daquiri's I had throughout my trip, I got seriously addicted to them - such a refreshing summer cocktail.

The nightlife in Puerto Banus was amazing as it was so glam - right up my street! For those that know me well will know that one of my favourite things to do is get dolled up and put my heels on, and I got to do this every night in Marbella. I absolutely loved that there was a smart dress code unlike other party destinations like Ibiza, summer dresses and killer wedges are my life! I don't want to bore you (or embarrass myself really...) talking through my drunk antics from club to club, but some of the places that you can't miss are: News Cafe, Aqua Mist, Sinatra's, La Sala and Pangea (my fav!).

After one very rough morning, my friend Rachael and I decided to treat ourselves to a gorgeous lunch at El Ancla. If you love good food, good views and a good pool then this is a must in Marbella. It's right on the beach, and as well as being a restaurant it also has its very own private pool - the ultimate chilled vibes. Burning off our steak, cake and yet another daquiri, we wandered along the beach back to our hotel. If you stay in the heart of Puerto Banus, then I'd definitely recommend getting a taxi back from El Ancla, as it was a never ending walk home with very burnt shoulders and sore feet!

On Friday, I went to the infamous TFIF pool party at Sisu Boutique Hotel, and it was hands down the best day of the holiday! Working serious Pamela Anderson vibes in this red cut-out swimsuit from Boohoo, I managed to find a 20 euro bottle of rose, and after six bottles, why wouldn't it be the best day?! Rachael and I met the loveliest group of girls on a hen do from Darlington, and danced our asses off from day to night.

The following day we went to Ocean Club for another pool party, where I wore my custom mermaid swimsuit from If It Fits, and had another fabulous day! It started off very chilled and may I say EXPENSIVE when I got charged 18 euros for a glass of fresh orange and lemonade (heart attack!), but then turned out to be another day of dancing with our new gal pals from Sisu. It hit 3 o'clock, our flight was at 9 and our transfer was picking us up from our hotel at 5. We knew we had an hour left to enjoy Marbella, but the amazing girls from Darlington managed to convince us to stay in their spare room and catch a flight the next day. After five minutes on Skyscanner and finding a flight home the next day for only £50 - how could we say no to an extra night?! Total spur of the moment decision, but it was time to enjoy the rest of our day/night and order more daquiri's... And what better way to finish our last day than partying with the famous Scotty T!

I couldn't recommend Marbella enough for a little summer get-away, whether it be for a crazy hen weekend, a girly glam holiday or a relaxing couples break. This is a destination that has something to suit everyone.

Hopefully see you soon Marbella, on to my next travels...

Lots of love,

Amy xoxo
