A Stroke of Sheer Genius and a Dash of Metallic Magic

So my sassy other half Amy is holidaying AGAIN and I'm left on my lonesome sitting in on a Sunday night with a cuppa listening to the rain drizzle down the windows (not that I'm bitter or anything). I don't know about you guys but the weather recently has put me in a horrible lazy rut where I've literally just been coming home from work and slipping into my pjs. I've been out of my gym routine for the past two weeks now, and it pains me to see Amy working out religiously on her Snapchat (WHILST on holiday may I add) so Monday screams new week and back to reality for Melisa - 6 weeks until Dubai. Anyhow enough of the ranting and down to the nitty gritty stuff that actually matters here on our FASHION blog - the fashion.

Not that we've mentioned our love for the Zara sale yet on our blog (jokes) but I think we have well and truly sucked the life out of the Zara summer discounts. I'm not really a bomber jacket type of gal but I just loved the look of this little oriental one! I thought it was super girly and practical being that it is my favourite colour - nude. Trying to be sensible and stick to the sale section, my eyes couldn't help but wander over to the new-in pieces. I couldn't resist these pinky/nude pleated culottes which are super comfy and chic. Although, I opted for a casual look here, these trousers would also look fabulous on a night out in the town styled with a pair of barely-there strappy sandals and a slinky lil' crop. Finishing the look off I wore my fave oversized sunnies and borrowed Amy's funky La Moda sandals.  I had been waiting to pick these up for myself in black for literally weeks and although they came back in stock last week, they sold out of my size within 2 hours. Determined as always, I managed to find a stockist on Ebay so I shall link that down below for anyone interested!

Moving on to Amy's attire...can we just take a moment to discuss how cool this sheer navy dress is!? Literally in love - and definitely going to be picking one up for myself once I'm paid. We absolutely adored how it looked with these tailored white culottes (also Zara sale) and metallic top, but we think it would also look gorgeous thrown over a bikini on holiday too. Amy's heading off again to Ibiza this summer so I'm sure she will definitely be styling this piece this way when she's there. Obviously the look wouldn't be complete without Amy styling her fave rose-gold mirrored sunnies from La Moda!

Anyways Tbloggers thanks for dropping by! Amy will be back soon gushing amount her wonderful cruise ship adventure but for the mean time stay sassy and fabulous!

I (Amy) wish I could say that we lived the perfect blogger lifestyle, in a fantasy of white marble and townhouses. But no, sadly that's a little unrealistic. Instead, this weekend we tried to work with an abandoned hotel, posing in front of graffiti while trying not to stand on the smashed bottles of buckfast, and being photobombed by the local pigeons of course. A lot of people get lost in the vision of things being picture perfect, but I think sometimes it's nice to show the hilarity and lengths that we go to get the right shot. Anyway, after a little shopping trip and much needed Frappuccino (our latest obsession), I was so excited to spend the day with Melisa on her birthday doing what we do best/worst - posing!

The both of us have been on the hunt for the perfect duster coat for God knows how long, but when I spotted this beaut in New Look I knew that I had found the one. My obsession with blue is getting beyond a joke, but it's the kind of colour that will work with anything. I styled this on top of a little basic grey dress from Missguided for a chic look, topped off with my FAVE buckle belt from Boohoo.

Going perfectly with my duster of dreams, Melisa picked up these gorgeous striped culottes from Quiz at their summer event a few weeks ago. With the many colours, you could wear these with literally anything! Melisa decided to go for a casual look with her sports luxe Zara crop and trusty black leather. We never thought we'd see the day where clash is so fash, but when Melisa popped on her stunning snake print booties from Russell & Bromley, I was obsessed with the mixed prints! Definitely doing more of this in the future...

I hope you gals appreciate the fact that not everything is perfect and that you should always have a little fun, while dressing as sassy as ever DUH.

Speak soon!!
